Boswellia rivae, locally known as Mirafur, is a less commonly traded frankincense species from eastern Ethiopia. Its resin has a deeper, sweeter, more balsamic character than brighter citrus-led frankincense types.
Sourced from the Ogaden region of Ethiopia. The Grade 1 selection is hand sorted at origin into medium-to-large tears, with nothing added to or blended into the resin.
The tears range through muted gold, amber, brown, and grey-dusted tones.
Size, shape, color, opacity, and surface texture vary naturally. Occasional small chips or resin dust may be present.
Store closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
For aromatic use only. Do not ingest or apply to skin. If warming or smoldering, use in a well-ventilated area on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Never leave heat or flame unattended. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials. Allow tools and surfaces to cool completely before handling.
